Stress Management is the expression often used by people who offer tools to help you feel less stressed and to cope with stressful feelings as they arise. We are much more interested to work with you to help to train your thinking so that you are more resourceful in the first place, so that there will be less (or no) stress to manage. What Is Stress? Well, we could devote several pages to this, there are dozens of definitions. Some talk of positive stress being good for you. Then there are environmental stresses, and stresses caused by long work hours, illnesses, bereavement, depression etc etc etc. The first thing we will do is ask you what the word Stress means to you, and what you would like to experience in its place. We do understand that you dont want to feel stressed out, who does? However, the key to improving the way you think and feel is not to focus on the way you have been thinking and feeling, but rather to help to aim your mind towards more flexible and resourceful ways of thinking.
